Administrators can optionally enable application licensing on one or more applications by simply enabling it on each application’s licensing object page. Even if licensing is not enabled, the backend will keep track of what applications have been installed to the managed workstations. This lets the administrator decide to enable/disable the feature at any time without having to start the license count all over again. The license count is used to give the administrator an indication of how many licenses are left on the Applications page. For most applications, it is sufficient to warn the administrator when their license count is exceeded so they know to order more licenses from the application vendor. However, if the administrator chooses, the agent will stop an additional user from installing an application if the available license count reaches 0.
